If you fly around Washington State..

I've never seen anything like this. Very handy guide!
...Thanks Warhorse!!!

Many state governments have dedicated aviation divisions that provide little-to-a-lot info packages online. The easiest way to find most has been to search for " xxxx Department of transportation" and look for aviation/airport links. I'm not in the search business so I'll leave it up to others if someone wants a comprehensive list, but Arizona & Texas are a couple that have useful info.

In most cases they have an obligation to provide public info about state-funded facilities and projects.

50 states should provide a few dozen hours of interesting reading:jump:

One of my favorite 20 minute flights is from Chelan Municipal (S10) to Stehekin State (6S9), very scenic.

Thanks for the heads up on that!

Now to find a program (App) that can read PDF's, upload it to my iPad, get a small plane, my pilots license, and the funds for a trip to Washington, and I am set!

Well, you better hurry. Summer finally arrived, and we never know how long it will last before the next rain... oh, wait a minute. I see some clouds on the horizon. Hold that thought. :173go1:

Nowhere near as nice as the PDF for WA but might be helpful to others when trying to get information on an airport outside of WA.

Here you can search by state, city or what ever information you may have for all registered US airports. 19905 of them today.....tomorrow probably only 19903 :salute:

I think the heat might have gotten to you, WH!
those weren't clouds on the horizon,
they were the seldom visible
snow-capped peaks of the Cascades or the Olympics.
...a rare sight indeed.
it was a clear view of the mountains,
I haven't seen for,
I can't remember how long.

and many thanks for the HU :salute:

oh crap, I forgot the Cardinal Rule!
oh well, if the weather doesn't do it,
the sales tax will surely do the trick.
