IL-2 Cliffs of Dover keep blowing engines up

i been trying to fly IL-2 Cliffs of Dover on full real only Prob is as soon as i get up the oil line brakes open and i have to find a nice field to crash into what am i doing wrong???:kilroy:



this is starting to get very old! i am thinking of going back to il-2 1946 for while unless i can get this IL-2 Cliffs of Dover working correct
 
You are probably doing nothing wrong. I feel engine managment is not fully accurate.
Young men flew these aircraft with a minimum of training but engime failures other than those caused by enemy action were rare. Pilots often turned on boost and forgot to turn it off, or forgot to chekcthe prop pitch.
In fact Douglas Bader once crashed on take off because he had the prop in course pitch, in CoD the aircraft barely moves down the runway in course pitch let alone crash.
I think engine managment needs looking at.
