Did you clear your shader cache, Matt? Looks like this comes from a corrupt cache.

Just close p3d, delete everything under C:\Users\<YOU>\AppData\Local\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2\Shaders , and start it again. The cache will rebuild itself after starting.

Cheers,
Mark

no joy Mark on some of them ie the 406 and aztec what has me beat besides the visual error its also the engine start, she wont kick over and there are continuous large plumes of smoke and noise, i have a feeling Im missing a development or directx type file/program

Have you tried deleting your default flight ?
Or switching to a simpler default aircraft, start it, then switch to that plane ?

Concerning the textures problem, it reminds me of two things:
1- the max texture size which is not set high enough in the sim settings
2- the HIGHMEMFIX tweak in the .CFG... but that was only in FSX, not in P3D... right ?

Have you an updated nvidia driver ?

Had the same problem, and updating the nvidia driver fixed it.

I have had similar problems in the past and assumed it was because I was moving a folder from say P3D V1.4 to P3D V2.0 or similar. I used to do this if I had a lot of repaints in the folder. What I did was create a folder in the P3D root folder call "Old Aircraft" and moved the problem folder there and reinstalled the offending aircraft. That usually fixed the problem. After that I moved the extra texture folders back and copied/pasted only the top part of the aircraft.cfg back.

I also have the Carenado C172N Bathurst Aero Club repaint as my default aircraft.

It usually solved the problem.

Its a fresh install of p3d, the lastest version doesnt require himemfix however ive added it to no avail & ive got all my settings maxed out and been working thru each lower setting

No joy

Its not repaint related when its a fresh reinstall from the exe and repaints wont prevent the engine from starting as shown in the video

I've had the same problem with a couple of my Carenado aircraft. No luck fixing them

Its got me beat even the latest model ie aztec is doing this

I don't have P3D but have had a similar issue in FSX when my AVG antivirus was blocking one of the Carenado .dll's from loading. Maybe worth looking into adding exception to the .dll's in you AV?

My fault, I wasn't clear enough. I do the above procedure then install the offending aircraft and make sure it loads correctly. If it works properly then I move my repaints back using the above procedure.

It has happened with Carenado planes that I don't have repaints for. For some reason it is only Carenado aircraft this happens with.

I'm really confused about the possible origin of such a problem.
Drivers are obviously fine.
Shaders have been recompiled.
Settings are fine.
What else could it be?... :dizzy:
Does it also happen if you disable the SLI to use only one of your 980s ?

done and dusted

Ive uninstall p3d and formatted the HD and removed every entry of p3d in the registry,

reinstalled v3.2 and so far 4 aircraft seem to be working, I will do the rest another night
