A year ago my flying rig gave up the ghost so i was going to replace it with a new one.Next day at work i broke my leg in 7 places and spent the next 7 months learning to walk again.During that time i was diagnosed with cancer and am now on my way to beating it so its time to get back flying and enjoying life.
So much has changed in the last year in flightsim(my 1st break from FS in 25 years) with the passing of Jean-Pierre Brisard(what a great guy)and the closing of PAD,to Mike stones return to modeling(glad your back mike),release of the SOH F7F's ,AT-11's and the new SOH project(great work guys).
I have been redownloading all my old payware purchases(holy crap i bought a ton) but i also found that Alphasim has closed and now cant find my payware from them.Is there a site still hosting the payware files(B-24,Russian carrier,KA-27,H-53 ect and did the C-17 ever get finished?).
Any help would be appeiciated along with any news i may have missed out on.

Virtavia?

A little searching and i found links to Virtavia which i assume is the new Alphasim but google gives me a warning not to visit the page.Am i on the right track or am i searching for vaporware?

Ouch! That doesn't look good. Phil will not be a happy bunny about that - maybe Fsfranek will be able to shed some light on what has happened.

Yes, Virtavia is Alphasim (effectively) and the vast majority of the old AS product has transferred to the new setup and, in some cases, been improved further. And yes, the C-17 did get finished (sort of). Actually, you might want to check out the Alphasim freeware page (http://www.easyfly.co.nz/Freeware/index.php) as Phil has continued to kindly release some of the older models as freeware - you may find some old friends on there.

Nice to hear you are making a recovery, after what sounds like a rough time.Welcome back. :icon29:

Welcome back WestJet and best of luck with your battles.

Virtavia is the new name of Alphasim. Changed to reflect a new level of product going forward but then all of the Alphasim titles have been repackaged under the Virtavia label so that grank scheme has blurred a bit. But it's still the same folks.

I just went to the Virtavia site and although in the past someone had mucked up the URL to go to some ".ru" site with the usual bogus trojan horse popups in hopes of selling your the antidote, it was working fine just a moment ago.

As AndyG43 and Navtech said anything that has been moved to freeware can be found here: http://www.easyfly.co.nz/Freeware/index.php

If you go via Google Frank, you can't get to the site; Google are flagging it as malware & effectively blocking all the pages.

I went to Virtavia website....
Clicked on "contact us" and listed my purchases (order number & date of purchase from Alphasim) and they sent back an email with links to download.
That was about a year ago...

Hope that helps

Yep, same here. Google showed the same thing. I tried again with IE but my Norton AV blocked access to Virtavia and specifically said the threat was originating from a Russian website.

Why you want go to Virtavia pages by Google ?
Use (paste in your browser adresse bar)
http://www.virtavia.com

Guys, the site is still listed as an attack site, I clicked the link given and got the warning page. I'm using Firefox but it gives me the option to ignore the warning and proceed anyway. Thought the Phil may want to know that the browsers are still scaring the normal people away.

Westjet, sorry to hear about your bad luck, hope everything turns out fine for you in the end.

Mmm, things have changed in a year then; sent a message via "Contact Us" about a week ago, still waiting for a response - maybe this Google issues are taking their full attention.
