After years of not being able to get on the forum. I'm finally back on. In 2 weeks I retire so will have time to get involved again.
My current interest area is the Artic conveys and the U-boot war.
By the way my old name was Seacondor.

Retirement

Congrats on retirement and good to see you back. The arctic was always a place I wanted CFS3 to go. We have so much in the way of planes and ships, absent of course is the theater. I gathered all the land class data via satellite scans etc to start to build a new theater but found it to be very time consuming. Most would be water with some coastline, but still a great deal of work. either way great to see you again, Greg.

Thanks guys. It is good to be back with you again. I won't be able to do anything for a while as my computers will be on a slow boat that could take up to 9 weeks.
I have 2 more weeks of work here in Australia and the 3 weeks with the family before I cross the pond. When I get setup I will be back to get help with setting programs and the game up in Win7. I think I will have to use Gmax again, as my 3DSmax is 2016. Legal too. :) It is nice, but may be too advanced for CFS3 modeling.
Anyway I will see you all again from the other side..........

FYI, you can build for CFS3 in Max and port to Gmax for exporting to the sim quite easily. The only thing that doesn't come over dependably is animations, but Gmax can handle that easily. This means all the new modelling and mapping tools in Max can be used - and rendering textures if you like - before getting work flying in CFS3.

Welcome back! Glad to see another old face.

BTW, your arctic convoys will now have some much improved water to sail through since you were last here.
