Just a few words for those who may wonder what the heck is going on with me...

About a month ago, I developed an acute case of lateral epicondylalgia, or epicondylitis, better known as "tennis elbow".

It struck in my left arm (I don't play tennis and I'm right-handed btw...:kilroy:) . For those who had that thing, you know how much it hurts. For those who don't; It hurts like hell!!!:isadizzy:

So far, I've had three relapses, each one as painful as the preceding, if not worst. It involves the elbow, of course, but the pain irradiates up to the shoulder and neck and, down, to the tip of my fingers.

Those who know me a bit know that I'm a two-fingers typist. Every time I use one of my left-hand fingers to push the shift key, all the muscles and ligaments and tendons and... whatever you can think of, starts to hurt in this arm.

So, no flying, no building things, no nothing involving that part of my feeble anatomy. This message is already getting too long to my taste :icon_eek:.

I'll be back... eventually...:salute:

Never had it and by the sound of it, hope I never do.

Get well my friend and I hope soon.

Dave

Hubba, I know and feel your pain. Mine is due to carrying a toolbag all day in my earlier working years.

An interesting story: We all (what the Grim Reaper has left of us) have a reunion every year and we all suffer with 'The Elbow'. One year some time ago Bob, one of the blokes, told us he had gone on holiday that summer and as he queued up for the flight he had to keep picking up his case and then putting it back down as the queue progressed. (Just thinking of it you can feel it now Hubba, can't you). He mentioned to his missus how his elbow was gipping him bad and a fellow behind him took an interest. Bob explained the problem and the chap ask to have a feel (as you do in airports!.

After a couple of seconds the bloke whacked Bob's elbow hard 'right on the spot'. Bob was so confused he forgot to belt him back. Apparently his elbow raged for a couple of days then everything went fine. He didn't know the bloke from Adam but he would certainly like to thank him. As he finished his story he was met with a tablefull of elbows in his face with requests to demonstrate (and get his round in)!

Graham.
