I'm really sorry, gentlemen, but ....

... if my DVD doesn't arrive by Monday morning next, I will be emailing Avangate to demand my money back!

Receipt of my order was acknowledged on 15 January and reached my credit card account on 19 January. I consider that 23 days, working or not, from receipt of my order is more than enough for even the most inefficient concern to perform.

If the powers that be of OFF are able to get to the stage where a direct download is possible, I may try again. I will only pay Polovski or other OBD member using PayPal.

Hi, Borton, your nerves must be strained from the wait, but: give it some more days, or ask Avangate or Winder, what you could do.

This sim is an absolute must-have! And there will be a way to clear the problem. You'll see - when you have it "flying", you'll regret any harsh words.
Trust me!

Hi Borton, sorry it's taking a while. It's 10 business days to allow for delivery (ie when shipped) so yours is 11 business days since the payment was taken so it was likely shipped around then. I'd hang on a little longer and if it's not here by Tuesday say, then send us an email to
support@
overflandersfields.com

and we'll get it sorted.

Eh? 19th Jan to 7th Feb is 19 days. Postal systems don't stop moving stuff over weekends, they just don't deliver on sundays is all. It's clearly gone AWOL.

Hi Mate, I'm very sorry that you've had this delay. I would be thinking by now the some lightfingered ************ has lifted the package which,m although it's packed in a cardboard box it looks exactly like a DVD case, it's all too obvious what it is . I would be suspicious of anyone between Avangate(the originator) and the various postal services involved. It's a pity to cast suspicions ,but where else could it be?

Actually yep sorry looking at Feb calendar there -it's 15 working days so yes sounds like one gone awol or stuck.
Borton please send us an email with your order number there Borton and we'll sort it.

Guys I see nothing clear here at all - I see people getting upset over a Game DVD that is either delayed by the postal system(s) or indeed possibly missing or stolen!

Its standard business procedure for me to ask you to wait a bit longer before we do send a replacement as otherwise we will make a loss and I have first hand knowledge of this as in SA things can take up to 6 weeks to arrive, often go missing or get stolen and I am always asked to wait 'a bit longer'...by game companies, component sellers the works.....

So you all just keep moaning and all I can say to you is ...... and I have said it before now too...... if you want a refund contact us on support@overflandersfields.com and it will be done!

Polovski, I have already been in contact with Avangate, the last being on 2 Feb containing a request to confirm my delivery address. This was replied to by me on the same day.

At least they haven't further annoyed me by claiming that the original address I gave with my order was incorrect - in fact they haven't replied further at all!

I will email you the details as suggested and thank you for your help but I can't help feeling you will be wasting your time. These people are unbelievable!

Its pointless demanding your money back from Avangate - its us that you need to demand from - and as above simply contact us and it will be done.

You guys are going to kill us slowly but surely - I have never in my life seen so many open contractual issues that are normally dealt with in e-mail splurged over one wee flight sim forum... carry on.

"These people are unbelievable".

1 When I ordered, I entered an email address for them to send the confirmation to. But Avantgate wrote back that the Paypal address had to match the ordering email address or they would not ship!! This silly delay cost me 1 day.

2. A file on one of the DVD's was bad. This I don't complain of, it was an accident (number 1 and 3 were deliberate). OBD emailed a copy of the bad file in just a few minutes and immediately notified Avantgate of the defect.

3. Howver Avantgate still would not replace the DVD until I did a reinstall and took a screenshot picture of the problem to email them as an attachment thus proving there was a bad file, and further they requested the DVD back first for further confirmation before replacement.

I have to say that I am very pleased with Avangate. I ordered on 31st, it was sent 2/02 and I received this morning. Pretty efficient in my book.

Just my $.02 worth here, but I feel it would be much better to have these discussions of problems with Avantgate/OBD in the PM realm, instead of the general forum. No point in airing our dirty laundry for potential customers to see.

Exactly, BARNSTORM

So many things could happen. I remember being in England in the mid-eighties, and my friend there expected a music CD from "Rough Trade".
But it got stolen by someone from the post services. A CD or DVD is a format, that can easily be recognised as such.
"Rough Trade" sent a new one, but they said, it was happening more and more, and was all their deficite business. Honest people, small record label; no big winnins anyway. Please, all, consider that.
And yes: please complain via PM - as BARNSTORM says: dirty washing...
