Thanks for the update, Jason! I keep seeing old footage of the yamato on National Geographic, including incredible footage of the torpedo bombers flying in low and fast to finish her off.....Now that would be a great mission to re-enact....

That is a great ship!!

Will there also be some rigging at close range? All those braces, wires and stays make it look more like a proper 'live' ship and really assure that you pull up in time...
Personally, I am not so sure I would like to see that through the windscreen of my Helldiver: She 'll probably throw up a hell of a flak screen! :adoration:

G'day all..

Hopefully yes it should have plenty of rigging..I'm looking at doing a pair of ships, the yamato that's in the pics is intended as the "tenichi-go" version, and the second will be based on what she looked like at saipan (without as much aa..)..the plan is for the whole aa battery to be functional, but will have to figure a way to link all the guns to keep under the exporters 50 gunstation limit..possibly in time I might look at doing the musashi as well, but at the moment I'm considering doing another japanese bb next (any suggestions perhaps?,a yamashiro or Hyuga?..)..

O/T..sad news to hear of Ickies passing,my sympathies and best wishes to his loved ones..

cheers,Jason..
