Incorporating the Aerosoft LHD into AICarriers

Ive seen a few pics around the net of people using the Aerosoft LHD and ships from the SH60 pack in AI Carriers

Has anyone here done it and could they share the details please
 
all you really need is the model and texture folder for the LHD-
from there you can build your own ai ship by using files and folders from any carrier that you use with aicarriers.
a unique name for it in the sim.cfg file would be needed
 
Matt, Are you 100% that it is the Uss Boxer from Aerosoft many people have tried and failed , I do know that you can us the USS Belleau Wood from Alphasim as AI when using the "BELLEAU_WOOD_MISSIONS" model from the package.

Thanks for posting this, I was using the wrong folder and entry for the Belleau Wood. Now I can get it running so I have something for my new Harrier to land on.
 
I spent the entire evening trying to learn some software and here what i was able to achieve so far LHA1 in AICarrier in DX10 preview. Missing the textures and NO it does not work in DX9 either all black. Will continue working on this later.
 
I found the problem and here we go. We got a working LHA for AICarriers. Now If you want to know how to do it i need to know if its legal for me to post it here. Its the AJ Webber static model freeware. Its quite easy to do it when you know how.

In its current state it is a static model, and what Letourn has done is modify it so that it can be used as AI, and is seeking approval from the original maker AJ Webber prior to uploading it somewhere, the same will go for getting Aerosofts approval with regards to the USS Boxer at the end of the day its someonelses work and all you are doing is modifying it for personal use the problem comes to when it becomes public use. Somehow I wouldn't like to upset Mr Kok (Aerosoft) and his Lawyers let alone Mr Webber.

Great job guys as I was looking to do the same, and very good idea with the legal issue, this guy will take you to court!

Finally got those !@$%?&#$ ships running in AICarriers. So, go to your aerosoft ships folders, open the scenery sub-folder, and run the damn scenery BGL's through BglX, ident the models with MDLX, but don't export them from MDLX, just look. Rename the files, set up in ai ship folders, and go. Have to sort out the model config for the LHD. Any ideas how that should look? eg: model=normal
model=normal1, ect,ect?
