Hi Everybody I have Just reinstalled my operating system and have reloaded fresh drivers and updates, and windows updates.
But would like to know the right procedure for installing CFS3 into windows 7, I believe that something was written on this Forum for doing that
but I don't know where it is. Do I have to turn the UAC off and my antivirus, any advice would be grateful.

Gary

It's in the skicky -Projected Knowledge Base page 2.

I turned off everything possible, after disconnecting form the internet, just to be sure.

From memory, turn the UAC off. I use Norton and had no issues, your mileage may vary. It's not a bad idea to install away from the default C:\Program Files (x86) location or you might get stuck with setting folder privileges to get things to install & run.

Basically what hairyspin said but disabling uac may be a security risk. Install it with your anti-virus off. Once installed it still might detect a false positive, so allow it. This will be one of my last posts here unless SOH can fix it's forums, it's unbearably slow.. I had a nice .rtf write up I did about installing the game and the single player campaign but I can't even upload that.

Starbage,

The forums appear to be working fine on my end...are you talking about uploading something?
