Installation hiccup

I had a nearly clean install to use for 1.2. All I had changed were some added aircraft and some that had been tweaked a little. The startup of the sim was problematic as it crashed in a classic sound file fault kind of way. So by taking out all the older aircraft it now starts. I'll have to spend some time adding them in slowly. Were any of the engine sounds changed. I had some aircraft with changed engine sounds. Would 1.2 have altered these when it deleted older files?

i had a few installs , fresh and all , finlaly got it right , and added all i had previous , one thing i did not do again was add the updated music / updates and all for the eras .....


all else now is fine with addons working


i got bobs missions working and few older missions sets, mgm battle of britian,,,,

on top of the ones that are included

so finally works all and sounds looks and plays great
 
I find if ya rename yer special aircraft folder temporarily all will be safe wilst not screwing up a new install...

Beau, if you'd like to test my Mossey sounds, just pm me... glad ta do it just for a little feedback!!!!

I don't have a listing but, yes, the aircraft were extensively tweaked. The sounds, the location of the shared folders, combining and removing duplicate shared files, etc.

As I thought. However let me say that I'm dead chuffed with the Cornish Bases. I over flew Predannack in QC and was really pleased to see the correct Chain Home stations in place (blimey the flak they threw up too!). I was amused to see with the stock spawn setting that a german panzer convoy was coming along the road next to the airbase:woot:

Yes that was in QC old bean. But that's all I've flown of 1.20 at present as I'm rebuilding my non ETO aircraft stock, firstly I'm putting in all the Coastal Command and KG40 that isn't in ETO.

Some of Ted's stuff has been used, but some hasn't and as the ETO stuff has a different naming convention, I'm trying to sort out which models have been used, so I don't get any conflicts.:rapture:
