Installation of MSFS2024 files and market place install issues.

Although MSFS2024 (steam) was installed on my P drive, I see a lot of MSFS related files on my C: drive as well. Why and how they are there is a mystery to me/
I was under the impression that when I chose the P: drive that all FS24 related files would be on one drive, Are those C drive files necessary?
It looks like this sim is in two locations (Drives).

Also I had deleted one addon in Marketplace and redownload and install, The process failed to install. I looks like the addon never uninstalled in the first place.

I can cancel the install and go thru the download process (Streamed) but the install process fails. What do I do to clear this failed process issue?P drive.JPG
 
So what Google AI tells me is:

MSFS 2024 splits files across drives
because the app launcher/core files (small) install on the C: drive by default, while the massive "Packages" folder (content, aircraft, scenery) is often installed, or moved, to a faster or larger separate drive. This split is often managed by symbolic links.

What remains a question is why when I uninstall a previous marketplace addon and then I can re down load it, it fails to install.
I know that the previous install is still there and Marketplace must not of removed what they installed before.
I surmise that if I located where Marketplace downloaded the addon and manually removed it then the download and install could be done.

I know this doesn't help you. But, I always start with the assumption that Microsoft does things for Microsoft and not the consumer. When you get head scratching issues and setup like yours, just assume that it is for M$'s benefit.

I know this is harsh indictment and $hitty attitude towards Microsoft. Rest assured that it comes from over 50 years of dealing with Microsoft products. I also know that Microsoft isn't alone in this Machiavellian, squeeze the turnip until it bleeds every drop of blood, approach to business. I am getting ready to get on an airplane to fly to Costa Rica. I am sure I will be made to feel lucky that the airliner allowed me to fly on their airplane.
