Intalling ETO and Active Malware Program ?

I have gotten ETO 1.0 and 2.0 installed and working fine. However, every time I close out the game or finish an install, my after-market Malware prm alerts me it caught 2-3 .tmp files in my app\roaming folder. The Malware prm is very non-descript, only referencing the files by number, like ".temp263". Just wondering if any one else has had issues like this, or is it advisable to temporarily disable my Malware during installs?

Any ideas or thoughts would be appreciated.

Hi Ohiotrooper,

Many threads on similar issues over the years..... Recently someone had problems with MAW.....

If you have ANY suspicions that antivirus/malware etc proggies are influencing an install, then you should consider trying to install with the proggies turned off..... You should be OK so long as you obtained the installation files from a reputable source....

Thanks for the reply

I kinda thought that would be a "no brainer", and now I find CFS3 will not start if the Malware and/or Spyware are engaged. Also your response regarding modifying the .xca file makes perfect sense and seems I remember doing that year ago. Thanks for the patience with a former frequent flyer here who has been grounded for and extended period of time.

There are incomplete non full versions with trojan viruses in them going around on the web. Be careful.

I bought the game at office max and my anti-virus picked up some temp file that was needed for the install. Had to install with it off.
