Interesting article on the F-14 aircraft/crew.....

Thanks for the Link, Odie!

Just bought the Kindle version of Bye Bye Baby; looks like an interesting read!

BTW I love your Signature; my sentiments exactly! :applause:

Tomcats were awesome! They just looked badass, just sitting in chocks on the flight line.

Hornets/Superbugs? ZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzz Lawndarts

Tomcats ruled the skies.Loved watching the displays
at the Abbotsford Airshow in BC.

Talking to the crew was always great.Miss that a lot.

Anthin.

I have both "Bye Bye Baby...!" and "Anytime, Baby! Hail and farewell to the US Navy F-14 Tomcat" and love both

I can always re-read that article. I think I have just about every book on the Tomcat, being a fan well before a certain movie came out and went back to watch VF-84 in another movie as a kid splash 2 Zeros.

For the more recent books with the last actions of the F-14 as a Bombcat, Osprey books "F-14 Units of OEF and OIF" are good to read as well.

Odie,
Thanks, didn't have it but do now (ordered), along with just about every title under the "Customers also bought..." banner!

Bye Bye Baby was so much fun to read, I couldn't put it down last night!

I understand why the USN had to let the Tomcat go, but boy, did she LIVE!

:applause:

VP2 - Another fun read is TOP GUN DAYS, written by one of the Navy aviators that did the flying sequences for TOPGUN. It's part movie-history and partly bio on his Navy days. I always
thought the Tomcat was cheated when it didn't get a best actor/supporting actor nomination that year!
