• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

The game of Eye for an Eye begins. Not good

Strange. My comments never got edited. They say the same as I typed?

Again, I am voicing concern. The world is filled with conflict, but this situation ratchets up the danger level, to say the least.

My guess is that Israel will strike Iran before this summer.
We will look the other way and then after, condemn it.

The other one to keep an eye on is India/Pakistan.

I just pray that if Israel does strike, that nukes are not used. The effects of a nuclear attack (from today's weapons) would be devastating. The blasts at Hiroshima and Nagasaki would pale in comparison.

That sounds like a great idea!! Hopefully they strike hard.

I believe their are forces at work right now to neautralize the threat, very scary times.

The threat of violence escalating out of control is obvious. But if Israel does not make the first move, it may not get a second chance. Am I alone in thinking this?

Do you remember when "The Shaw" of Iran was overthrown? Do you remember what happened to the F-14s?

Be careful not to wade too far into the political waters guys. We can do that over at Oso's.

This is definitely a dangerous potential situation that should concern the entire world. But as far as the speculation of who should do what, when, and why...let's let the politicians make that decision and hope (or wish, or pray, or whatever you feel is needed) that it is the right one.

Without going to the good or bad part, place yourself in the shoes of an Iranian fellow, neighbouring country being highly influenced by some western culture and in that process losing some of their old culture. I'd not be very happy and I would be worried about it. I don't think I would be Israel minded if they kept bombing my homecountry a couple of times a year.

It's all about different viewpoints. I don't think Iran is all that bad. Lots of cool young folks around there. Can't say I get a good view on their leader but at least he dares to speak up against the overwhelming west. I think that actually speaks in his favour.
