Irania F-14s Dogfight with Irag Mig-21s

I saw on You Tube Iranian F-14s shooting down many Irag Mig 21s during the Iran-Irag
War 1988? I am amazed they are still operating the Tomcat.

Apparently they are still flying, according to a couple Iranian guys who have posted on the F-14 Facebook page I visit. Although I would suspect their aircraft availability stats aren't very good due to lack of spare parts. I had a chance to monitor several Iraqi air strikes against Iranian facilities during the Iran-Iraq war. I was aboard ship and we got the radar tracks via the AWACS. Whenever it appeared that Iranian F-14's were responding to the Iraqi aircraft, the Iraqis didn't stick around. :icon_lol:
