IRIS A-10 - LIGHTS & SWITCHES??

I know how to use the controls for the HSI and for the AFCS - what I can't figure out is how to click on the AFCS NAV - ILS - LSS buttons (CP-IP-R-4 ,5, 6) without moving the stick. This is especially annoying when I am at the altitude I want to be at and I must pull back on the stick to get to the NAV or LSS button and my altitude balloons. On my display the buttons are always hidden by the stick - what to do??

When I start the A-10 cold and dark at night the cockpit is pitch black and the APU is not running. I can't see any of the switches to start the APU (either quick-start or regular starting drill) and can't see the switches to turn on the cockpit lights. Pressing the L key does not turn on the cockpit lights. How do I illuminate the cockpit when the AC is cold and dark?

Once I get the cockpit lights on(start it during the day and switch Time/Season) I can then turn on the landing lights and they work fine. After I take off, turn off the landing lights, retract the landing gear, and fly for I while I want to land. I lower the gear and click the landing lights on, I hear the switch click, but no landing lights illuminate. If I land (big IF with no lights) I can find no way to get the landing lights to come back on.

What is the trick to the landing lights once retracted and then re-extended?

I am flying with HotFix 1.3 applied.

For your AFCS switches, if you cycle the views there should be one thats looking directly at them, or you can always try CTRL+RSHIFT+ENTER\BACKSPACE to move your view over. For your cockpit lighting problem I usually just hit the EMER FLOODLIGHT switch on the main electrical panel before starting up the APU, just remember to turn the battery switch first, usually I can't really see them too good, but I just remember where they are and can find them pretty quick. If it's so dark that you can't even see the switches themselves, that I would adjust the brightness on your monitor so you can just see the switches. I'm not too sure about your landing light problem I've never noticed that before, so I would try the IRIS forums/support for that if they're up and running.

Hope that helps.
