IRIS Texan Open Beta

Actually YoYo, I have to respectfully correct you on that one. The link goes to the PC-9/A. The T-6 has been removed from sale whilst we gear up to full release this weekend. :)

David,

Will the full release include the aux tanks? I'm looking forward to the final release, then the AT-6.

Cheers,
Jeff

I just downloaded the latest version. The Power Control Lever still does not move. A Configuration Manager has been added. It's supposed to add chocks, pilots, and external fuel tanks. It does not work. Flying around with no visible pilots is no fun. Anyone else have the Configuration Manager problem?

What a difference a day makes. Just downloaded the latest version today. The T-6B must be close to commercial release. The Power lever works now. The Configuration Manager has been enlarged with three new options, including options for "cold & dark" or "ready to fly". And all options work quite well. The new paints are incredible, while frame rates are very good. This plane is a definite keeper.

Any news on the release of the Texan?

I must confess I have a soft spot for these aggressive turbo prop trainers :) Really looking forward to the AT-6B.

We're still pushing to get things finalised. :) At the moment all the essential parts are in, we're just adding more goodies. :) I can't really say more than that at the moment, but it'll be worth the wait. We're hoping for 1-2 weeks depending on how things progress behind the scenes.

That and we've been working with some T-6B students and instructors to get the flight dynamics to their satisfaction.

smudge?...final price will be around $40.00 ? or do you have a ball park?...need to budget for it.

Daveroo, that's the plan. Working on the same pricing as the PC-9/A.

We're only a few days from the final release, those that have purchased, have you recently downloaded the most current version (V1.0.20150224.2057) and if so, what's your take on it? Ready to release or still need more input?

Cheers.

David,

The only thing I notice is if I load the aux tanks. They are over the aircraft's gross weight. Shouldn't the externals be compensated for in that limit?

Otherwise, I'm very happy with it.

Jeff

What version does your ver.txt file say you're running in your Simobjects/Airplanes/IRIS T-6B Texan II folder say?

Storm, Re-download the latest version from your Early Access product invoice on the store and you should have the latest version. Did you get it from IRIS or The Flightsim Store?

Jeff,

It is recommended that the following files be removed prior to installation.1. Simobjects/Airplanes/IRIS T-6B Texan II folder and subfolders.
2. Simobjects/Airplanes/IRIS T-6C Texan II folder and subfolders.
3. All files beginning with fx_iris_t6b in your Effects folder.
4. All files beginning with fx_t6b in your Effects/Texture folder.
5. All files beginning with T6B in your Fonts folder.

Just to make sure it's a clean install. :)

Will do. As a matter of fact. I'll do that now. Thank you!
