• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Is anyone else experiencing problems with SOH timing out on them 50% ot the time?

Or is it just me as usual, the past few weeks I have had no end of time out problems when trying to access this site. Is there some work going on in the background that could be causing this?

Not at the frequency that you are seeing.

The only issue I have had in the last few weeks was FireFox telling me the connection was reset.

Other than that I have been getting in with no problems.
 
other than avast! Antivirus dragging my page load times to a crawl,
I have had no issues.

I've experienced it a a couple days ago, but it seems fine now.
 
I'll walk away for a few minutes and have to sign in again. My laptop in the living room never does it.

its usually is a cookie issue

1)we run on cookies
? Use Internet explorer
2)
PS do not use a download manager they do not work and cannot download a password protect file
3)
click start
go to settings
go to control panel
click internet options
click privacy tab
click sites
in box add
sim-outhouse.com
and click allow
If that don't work try this
4)
Go Internet Explorer
Temporary Internet files
delete cookies
delete files
delete all offline content
Reset web settings
Restore Defaults
unable firewall
5)
sometimes the router needs to be shut off for 30 seconds and restarted.
6)
login with your sim-outhouse.com (soh) login and soh password
