Is the FS2004 version of the Iris T-6/A Texan II still exist ?

If not why ?

I already sent this question to the Iris support forum and I
did not received any answer.

Thanks for the info !

I'm not real sure there was ever an FS9 version. I thought it was only for FSX but I could be wrong. Dave Brice would be the one to talk to on that...:salute:

Yes there was. I have it along with the PC-9.

From what I can tell the Texan II came out towards the end of 2007, followed by the PC-9 the first part of 2008.

Can't answer why it's no longer available.

Both were available for FS9, they were also the 1st and 2nd FSX releases from IRIS (possibly the F-20 was just before or after, can't remember)

Since then, the FSX versions have had a free upgrade, plus an optional pay extra major upgrade. I'm guessing at some point after that, the fully upgraded FSX bird replaced the older vanilla one and the FS9 one vanished from the catalogue.

Pity as it's a sweet bird.

Neither are directly available from Iris - David Brice thinking FS 2004 is inferrior, etc. However, Both the FSPilotshop and PC Aviator store are selling both still and if you hurry, the FSPilotshop store is honoring Iris' $5 sale.

I like Warhorse, have both the T-6 and PC-9. In fact, purshased the FS X "upgrades" for $5.

Hi,

Coincidentally .. anyone have a complete replacement for the prop of the IRIS Texan II ?
A more visible blades instead the (my opinion of course!) boring disk

Since VaporZ asked the question, I pulled my PC-6 and Texan II out of the hangar. I forgot how much I enjoy these aircraft. Great cockpits for ILS landings and hands on navigtion, and I love the animations and attention to details. I just added shockwave lights and they are really great for night flying.

There are some glitches I'd like to solve, however. :salute:
  • Landings are a little hard at times. I get an occassional bounce although my airspeed is just above stall.
  • The VC lights are slaved to the landing lights. Whenever the landing lights are activated, the gauges really light up.
  • The Center of Gravity is not right. When taxing if you hit the brakes you often end up on your tail.

VaporZ;

Check Here: http://www.pcaviator.com/store/product.php?productid=18096&cat=0&page=1. I believe this version has a dual FS9/FSX installer. The price is $39.99, but you get a 15% discount if you order by midnight EST December 31st.

WarHorse47;
I have the same problem, for some reason the happens to all Iris Simulations planes I have, as soon as the landing lights are turned of, all the gauge lights and exterior formation lights go out.
