Is There A Choice of What You Download?

I have read that 2024 may take up less space on our PC's than 2020, with a fair amount of the data being streamed.
If you take say, the Base Package, with its 70 aircraft - some of those I will never fly so I am wondering whether I can pick & choose among them which I want to download & use, similarly for Airports, or do we just download the whole Package & all the 70 aircraft & all the Base airports end up on the PC?

As I understand it, just about everything is loaded on demand at the beginning of the flight, including planes. But I was told over at the official forum that you do have the option of local storage of just about any asset, which should give you the ability to make tweaks, though it will start to increase that 50GB pretty quickly.

With the added advantage that it would help people with less than optimal bandwidth.

Personally, I'm not convinced (yet) about the advantages of streaming. But maybe that's me being old school.
