It's only a CAT 2 right now, or supposed to be. The wind outside is maybe 20-30mph. Even the ducks are still flying. Best hurricane predictors out. Real bad weather, they head into the Nature Reserve and hunker down. Maybe tomorrow the winds will be up. My good lady and I live and about 200 feet from the South shore where all them big waves are. The back end of the property borders the NR. Mind the tide is up.

The storm is CAT2 now and the central pressure is rising and currently at 945mb. The more the pressure rises, the weaker the storm gets but post importantly, the higher the pressure, the lower the storm surge will be.

Keeping our fingers crossed for you guys here from Eastern NC. We've had our share of hits for sure!
