It has begun...

Good morning,

A couple inches down, another foot to go with dangerous high tides, expected coastal flooding, wind gusts to 70mph and expected power outages.

Sounds like a good CFS2 day to me...

Here, in East San Diego County, the temperatures plummeted into the mid 60s today. Early this morning there was a red-flag/school-closure alert when it appeared that we may be in for a light drizzle. However overcast skies soon gave way to cloudless with winds gusting to 7mph. School closure alerts were also cancelled. ;^)

Take care of yourself, Rami. That is some serious weather.

Have fun digging out!

Allen,

It took about ninety minutes to dig out this evening, partially because a local town plow took a dump at the end of our driveway. We couldn't wait to do it until tomorrow, because the temp is going to drop to about 9 degrees (Fahrenheit) tonight, so waiting to tomorrow would have meant that everything was frozen solid.

Tomorrow night, we're expecting a low of -2 degrees, and Saturday night it will be-10. Worse, sustained winds and gusts will keep wind chills in the teens below zero or colder.

MaskRider,

We haven't seen flooding this bad in a long time, especially in the streets of Boston. This is some serious s*it. :jawdrop:

Even with the tourists cluttering up MY beach and the Bush Flies we really have it good.
Aside from the odd 37C day that is!

Stay warm Rami.

No beach here in the ACT but scorching heat,
wind and air con. running to the max.

I will try and send you some of this heat. Where
you are looks like Toronto years ago, where I grew
up.

Keep warm Rami.:dizzy:

Yorktown, Virginia

We have a wind chill of 2*F here this morning. A total of 10 inches (25+ cm) of snow fell yesterday, measured in Norfolk VA, just a few miles away. I dug out my car after the snow stopped and that was all - the wind was brutal (about 35 knots). I didn't try to go anywhere.

Today and tomorrow are forecast to clear weather but very cold and windy. :snowman: If someone complains about the heat next summer, I'm gonna slap them! :encouragement:
