It once belonged to Howard Hughes and now you can have it.......

The Douglas C-47A-50-DL (cn 10156) PP-VBF in the colours of the Brasilian airliner VARIG. This aircraft was delivered to the USAAF in 1942 as 42-24294. After the war it was sold to Hughes Tool Company. Who re-sold it to VARIG, where it was used to transport both cargo and passengers. It remained in service until August 1971. It was completely restored by VARIG maintenance and put on display.

It has been uploaded to the usual places ;)

Cheers,
Huub

Nice job regardless, Huub!

Sorry Bjoern, I can't answer that question. All I know it the fact it was sold by Hughes Tool Company to VARIG in December 1947.

I'm glad you like it Flaviossa as said in the read me it was done on request of one of your fellow country man.

Cheers,
Huub
