• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Italian Pilot Effects

I just wanted to let you all know I intend to release a couple more of the Italian language files as replacements for Nibbio's Pilkill effects. I'm waiting to get permission from everybody involved first. Most of us either love or hate this add-on, I happen to love it even though it is a bit over dramatic. If you are like me and a little tired of it try this one for a change.

The Italian version is different in that when you get wounded (or wound somebody else) the recording you get is of an Italian language exclamation. The pilot kill effect is a little less dramatic and could be used in any installation because there is no language involved- just a long painful groan. This last effect may appeal more to you purist because it is a little more realistic.

I want to do this because Dandolo did such a great job of acting and some of his best stuff is buried deep in gvr files that CFS2 rarely uses. So I took two of the best raw wav files he produced and modified them for use as pilot wound and pilot kill effects.
 
I am still waiting to hear from Nibbio. I want to include his .fx files in my package to make it easier to install. Without his permission I will have to instruct people to install his PilotKill effects first. Does anybody have an e-mail address more current than the one on his website? Does anybody know what his policy is on such matters? His readme in the PilotKill effects package does not address copyright matters. I wrote him another e-mail saying that if I do not hear from him by October 17th I will go ahead and upload them along with my package. Does this sound reasonable?

This post is to confirm my ok to use my " performances" concerning recorded ITA files.
I suppose some italian like me do not like my files but, because of we can choose to install or not, why You should matter if someone hate or love them?
This community is quite wonderful and huge and it is expression of the "taste " of the World.
