ITO's DO 335 A 12

Did Andy G43 do a new FDE for ITO'S Do335? It needs to have some work on it's ground handeling badly. If you start the take off run and it starts to veer to one side or the other and you give it just the tinyest bit of rudder it flips end over end, it's impossable to taxi, I have a Piper 140 that does something simular but it's not as bad ,Just tips over if you give it differential braking while taxing.
Also as with most planes with starter buttons, the props turn over but it won't start. You have to hold Ctrl+E down fo a very long time before both engines decide to start.
One other thing ,for a night fighter is bad is that the VC isn't lighted, all you can see is the canopy frame and the landing light but you can't see the panel at all.
So does anyone have a fix for these?

Still got some little tweaks to do, got rather sidetracked by my Hunter project. One of the biggest tweaks still to do is the lighting; I've actually sorted it out (and you can now see the VC panel), but I tend to use Shockwave lighting, so I need to redo it with default lights. I was also having a look at the panel, seeing if I could replace Ito's defaul instruments with more appropriate Kedigau alternatives, but that can wait for another time.

The taxying problems are down to one of the worst set of contact points I have ever seen, which I have sorted; and it no longer veers off on takeoff, and climbs (I think) pretty well on the numbers.

I'll try to have another look at it this weekend, maybe I can get it into the Library tomorrow (have to finish part 1 of the Hunters).

no hurry

Don't hurry about the many fixes that this plane needs. I have simTechs singel seat Do335 which is worlds better ,I just liked the looks of ITO's Do335 and wanted a two seat version. If you turn off crashes and don't mind taking off over taxyways, vehicles and through buildings ,onces it gets in the air it doesn't fly that bad ,but still needs tweaking.
Oh and thats after about five minutes trying to start the engines.

OK, it's uploaded (might take a bit of time to show in the library), hopefully you'll find this an improvement; I don't start "dark & cold" so I'm not sure if this will sort your starter button problem, please let me know the outcome.

I've included a version with standard lights, and one with Shockwave lights for those who have them. BTW if you don't have the Shockwave lights, I can't recommend them too highly, they add that extra something special to an aircraft (and to the whole sim in general).

don't see it yet Andy

I don't see your new FDE for ITO's DO 335 yet ,but when it is up and I've tried it ,I'll let you know how it works, thanks

100% improvement

Your new FDE is a 100% improvement over the stock FDE. I also put in the new gauges and panel from Flightsim, couldn't find OBIO's sound for the ITO's DO335 but I can live with ITO's stock sound.
You can now taxi and make corrections with the rudder with out tipping over and rolling around on the ground.
Thanks so much ,three thumbs up ,nice work.
Oh and even though you didn't do anything about the slow starting ,it now even starts much better with ctrl+e than before. There is a knob on the new panel that says starter but it adjusts the vor bearing I think.

got em

I have OBIO's new ITO's DO335 sounds ,so now I have the complete package ,thanks so much ,made a nice looking plane(I too have always had a soft spot for the Pfeil) but a pig on the ground ,into a plane that can be controlled and sounds good too, and a lot more stuff to play with ,although I don't know what all the instruments do as some don't say when you mouse over them. But it's sure a big improvement to what it was before. Thanks again.
