• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Jeeze.... so you think the Claymore mines I was going to use would be over the top? I wish you had brought this up sooner, I already have my tracking number and paid for my shipment from the US Army.

Damn... I wish I had thought of a grenade, it might have saved us some money. Sorry Pol.

:caked:

That reminds me of the showman P.T.Barnum. As one of his many moneymakers, he had a freak show, that cost 10 cents, now around 1900 that was expensive. He had no problem selling tickets, his problem was crowd movement, too many folks stuck around all friggen day watching the show time after time. The hall filled up with bodies, and that was it.

Sooo it involved a bit of trickery on his part. He rearrainged the attractions, so the Human Cattle walked along a narrow path, with freaks constantly visable on both sides. At the end of the pathway was a door with the signage, "Go Thru this door to see the strangest creature that walks on two legs". As the door locked when closed, and led to the alley behind the building.

Problem Solved, and THAT show, made him a very wealthy man :monkies:

I'd heard that the sign read, "This way to the Great Egress." Same effect, but lawsuit-resistant.

I heard that there was a mirror outside, facing the door so you had no choice but to view yourself.... no?

No, . . in this case the egress sounds about right.

I've heard about the mirror deal, but I can't remember where ?

I know of a story about a house of Ill Repute, with such a door. But I can't post here :costumes:

So the guy that was in charge of proof reading was sent to the sign making department.
