Yeah, I like the fixes I see as well. From awesome to even better! ;)

Love Jabaras' paint scheme, too.

You can thank Stovall for the repaint, it's available here at SOH. As far as fixes go, I'll let Colin or Diego let that cat out of the bag when the time is right! :). Just thought this paint from Stovall deserved a little showcase!

Nice shots, and a cool paintscheme too. I am only wondering about the font of the serial on the fuselage?

Font

Jan, I have been wondering about the font myself. I have seen pictures of F-86F's flying today with a different font. I used the same as the paint kit default which is Gunplay. If you could suggest a different more accurate font, I would be grateful. It would not be very difficult to change. Thanks in advance.

Oddly the nearest that I can find would appear to be RCAF_60SQO_ATH available at Simmer Paintshop (http://www.simmerspaintshop.com/forums/dlcat-military-fonts-19/). Also RAF_PW_ATH on the same page is close. However the F is unique and needs doing separately and some numbers won't be right (#1 in particular). Personally I've begun to do most of mine from scratch now rather than waste time hunting for something online that probably won't be entirely right anyway. Hope that helps.

I noticed the fot issue but I was also thinking that it was one of the jets that had the factory style font on it. Evidently the fonts applied in factory were different than anything applied in the field. I've noticed on a couple repaints odd shapped fonts but didn't really think too much of it.

Fonts

Thanks Dave, I have all the Simmers Paintshop RAF fonts so that could help but as you say they are probably not quite right. Many of the letters of names of aircraft share the same problem. I usually just make them myself. Appreciate the help.

you can use the F and U from the USAF on the wings, and for the numbers I used the RCAF font too. I'm not sure what Milviz used, but it was a font my photoshop did not recognize, and it substituted the one you mention, not the right one unfortunately..

Thanks Jan, I never thought about using the F and U from the wings, great idea. The numbers from RAF RCAF should be better. I will start some conversions. Appreciate the help.

Do I see fixes??? I think do!!!! I like!!!

I just checked the CHANGE LOG and note that a total of 55 "fixes" were made altogether, most of which for the most part have never been noticed by anyone, or at least not reported by anyone...

However, while taken individually they were minor, cummulatively the fixes offer a significant improvement overall. :icon_lol:
