How do you get Take-Off Trim Position Indicator Light to come on before take off I tried setting the trim switches on the left side of the sabre and no luck can someone please explain how to do this and what switches you use to calibrate until the light comes on thanks:banghead:

You have to adjust the up trim with your joystick controls - or your keyboard - depending on which you use - should illuminate the takeoff trim light as in my pic. Mike :wavey:

I found that besides setting the trim to 2 degrees nose up, you also need to have the flaps in the full down position, which is another takeoff item.

I can get the trim light to come on with the flaps full up.

Not the right way to do it but after flying it a few times the fun is finding new ways to break it. :kilroy:

It is the right way. In the real 86, you set the longitudinal trim to the takeoff setting as confirmed by the light BEFORE lowering the flaps during the runup checks. This positions the horizontal tail in optimum takeoff position as relates to angle of attack. Flaps are then lowered.
So seeing the light before the flaps are lowered is normal.
