Japanese Air Units at Formosa 1945

Hey:wavey:
I'm working on a mission that takes place on 3 January 1945 where VMF-124 and -213 F4U-1Ds escort TBMs to strike Kagi on Formosa. My question is what kind of aircraft were stationed at Kagi? Was it an IJN field with A6Ms or an IJAAF with Ki-44s. This might seem like a dumb question but I like to get things historically right when I create a mission.

thanks

Hey Jerm;

I know the guys from VF-20 ran into KI-44's in Oct. '44 but by the time of the '45 Raids I'm not sure. By that time the Big-E had CAG-90(N) onboard and were doing almost nothing but night hops.

I checked Pacific Wrecks and they had nothing except one photo on the Formosa Airfields.
