'Jefferson Airplane!

As a Bay Area kid I was a huge fan of the Airplane in the mid-late sixties. I went to an outdoor concert at Frost Amphitheater ( Stanford) and saw them live along with Country Joe and The Fish. I was, I think, 13 years old at the time. A great band in thier early years.

Andersel !!!......you drunken sot......it's about time you crawled out of the cantina !!

Like you, I was a huge fan of da plane and Miss Grace........

Used to borrow the folks '67 Chrysler Town & Country Wagon (440 hemi) and drive up Lookout Mtn.
I'd park near Buffalo Bill's grave, lower the rear seats, and put on Jefferson.....
......afterwards we'd sit on the hood naked, with wine and tokes, lookin out over the lights of Denver.....

DAMN FINE MEMORIES....!!!

Grace then and now....

After reading my last post, I realized that some might think I was with Grace Slick herself.
Not true.
The young lady's name was Nancy Ann Dick, a bosomy flautist in the high-school orchestra.
Although classically trained, Miss Dick enjoyed Miss Slick as much as I......

Wow, Jefferson Airplane. I sure liked their music, think I will go find their greatest hits CD and listen to it.

Grace Slick had one hell of a voice.

Yes she did! I couldn't believe it, though, when Rolling Stone Magazine had some kind of poll some years ago rating the best voices of rock, Grace wasn't even mentioned... How quickly some people forget!

rolling stone magazine has less credibility than the national inquirer. those lists ALWAYS suck.
