'Jenson Button Panicking?'

Webber closed the gap by 15 points in the last three races, with seven more races remaining to catch Button, who is now only 18.5 points ahead... Sounds like a good time to start panicking to me!

Champion level performers don't panick - only rookies do (as demonstrated by Lewis Hamilton in his 1st year).

Button has been around long enough to know that championship level drivers don't panick...the merely adjust & turn up their performance wicks :)

Funny how a driver can gain confidence once he gets his first victory.
Webber certainly drove hard and fast last weekend, plenty of positive aggression there!!!:applause:

I think (just me, myself) that my thoughts re the Brawn earlier are proving correct.
Very quick out of the box but no apparant long term developement potential, a modern day 'Wolf WR1' for example.
Button is wise to feel a little uneasy, but I doubt it is panic.
Then again, he sounded rather stressed during the last event, but that's understandable.
He would be one person who has an insight into the capabilities of Brawn and that could be a large part of his unease.

In contrast, RBR is coming on fast and success breeds success, Newey and Webber have something to prove and once they gain an advantage they will be hard to stop.
Reminds me of 1992, Newey, Renault and Mansell.

Then again, anything can happen .......... :kilroy:

Newey and Webber have something to prove

You forgot to include Vettel :mixedsmi:

That being said, I think we can all agree that Hamilton showed some "boneheaded moves" while driving - presumably because of the pressure. (Hamilton should arguably be a double world champion were it not for his mistakes)

Concern is one thing, panick is another. Once you cross over from concern into panick, you lose control....

You forgot to include Vettel :mixedsmi:

Oh no I didn't Ed!:jump:
I believe that Newey would love to give the finger to MacLaren, Williams and especially to Ross Brawn, while Webber would also enjoy doing the same in Williams direction, as well as hanging it on his whipper-snapper team mate .... while establishing his position as the RBR #1 driver.
Young Sebbie has plenty of time, Mark has been the hard-luck driver for too many seasons and has really worked hard for RBR.
But (and there's always one) ........ still a long way to go yet!
