Usio's IJN Sendai. A Sendai class light cruiser, commissioned Apr 1924, Yangtze River and China patrol from 1925. Involved in the Malaya invasion, then the Solomon Islands from July 1942. On 2 November 1943, at the Battle of Empress Augusta Bay, Sendai took major 6" fire from USS Cleveland, Columbia, Montpelier and Denver and sank the following morning.
