"Ducati and Jorge Lorenzo will join forces in 2017 and 2018 as they look to conquer the MotoGP™ World Championship.

Ducati announces that it has reached an agreement with Jorge Lorenzo thanks to which the Spanish rider will take part in the MotoGP™ World Championship in 2017 and 2018 aboard the Ducati Desmosedici GP of the Ducati Team.
Lorenzo, born in Palma de Mallorca on 4 May 1987, has won five world championship titles throughout his racing career (250cc in 2006 and 2007 and MotoGP™ in 2010, 2012 and 2015)."

This came out of left field!!!!!!
Makes sense as neither of the current Ducati riders are World Championship material.
Now if only they could persuade Casey to get back in the saddle full time................................:encouragement:

Randy was not really dedicated enough (lovely bloke BTW), but the vastly underrated Eddie Lawson pulled off a couple of wins for Cagiva.
Cagiva ended up being taken over by Ducati, which subsequently ceased their Grand Prix program.
Shame as the bike was coming good.
:encouragement:

First heard the rumor mill at COTA, I really wonder how much he was offered in the contract over another deal with Yamaha. Agree about Stoner, as he has been the only one to really get anything out of the Duc, and as a Duc owner this is not the best. Still need Dovi to stop being in the wrong place/time and finish.
