I am not a Jr Fan,,but i feel for him at times,,,just wish he would go to some speaking class or something...did he not graduate high school?...

Dale Earnhardt Jr. not happy: #88-Dale Earnhardt Jr. was not happy after he finished 18th in Saturday's 400. NASCAR's most popular driver does not like tandem racing, not one bit. "It is weird racing," Earnhardt said. Last week Earnhardt said he didn't like the fact he had to depend on another driver in order to be competitive at Daytona. He would rather have his destiny in his own hands. "What kind of move can you make?" Earnhardt groused. "I mean, man. What kind of move can you make in racing like this? There ain't no move you can make. You just hold it on the mat and try not to wreck into each other. You see how good we are at that." The more questions he was asked about tandem style racing, the more aggravated Earnhardt became. "I don't know what to say," he said. "I don't know. You guys need to get your own opinions and write what you all think about it. I think it is probably pretty damn close to mine. Stop putting my damn mouth with y'all and getting my (butt) in trouble. Y'all write what y'all think, man. Come on, y'all are good. Y'all have an opinion about it. I read y'all's stuff. You put us in the damn crow's nest."(Daytona Beach News Journal)(7-4-2011)

Fortunately I've spent enough time down south to understand him. :icon_lol:

He's right, but a simple "this aint real racin, it sucks" would have sufficed.

this is maybe the second or third time i've seen you post something similar this...

just what exactly are you refering to?

Maybe he should go to the Ward Burton School of Speechin' ?:icon_lol::icon_lol::icon_lol::icon_lol:

Ward was really hard to understand at times, I heard that one time NASCAR had to ask his brother, Jeff, to come to the trailer and interpret. :icon_lol:

Jeffs standard answer when asked about Wards heavy accent is "he grew up in the south half of the house".

being born and raised in the South i imagine that i would sound alot like Jr. and use alot of the same phrases he uses if ya'll were to see me in person. i reckon P can attest to that.:icon_lol:

and i graduated high school and college.

some of you Kalifornia boys are hard for me to understand sometimes:icon_lol:

There ain't no move you can make

thats an example....he is a man who is a leader for many young people in the USA and he says things like that?....i dont care where you are from,,,,i didnt mean that post as a slam on people from the south sayin Y'all or anything of the sort,,,but couldnt he have said,"you cant make a move" or i"ts not possible to make a competitive racing move in that style of racing"

im not going to call him ignorant..he is not...but he should speak better, there are thousands of kids who look up to him...and hang on his words and then they hear lines like that.

Hey All,

I thank Jr speekifies jus fine. He a gud ol boy ya kno. :bump:

Actually I think Jr "suffers" from having so much knowledge about racing and the circumstances under which racing is done today that he has a hard time finding and toeing the corporate "line" without being concerned about sanctions. I always get the feeling that there is so much more that he wants to say and could but doesn't - due to either content or some of the words he might use. If Jr had the "stature" of his father I think he would have a lot more to say.

Califorians may be hard to understand but they sure can drive - witness Jimmy Johnson, Jeff Gordon, Kevin Harvick plus more.

I love the IOM TT.
Always have, probably always will.
Joey Dunlop (26 TT victories!) was hard enough to understand but he never needed subtitles (I picked up some 'Irish' after spending time in Ulster.).
The present day rider who I have a great deal of respect for is one Guy Martin, a flyer and a solid down to earth man.
His interviews are almost IMPOSSIBLE to understand without captions......................:kilroy:
