It looks like Scrub has some extra help on this plane, but all the same, it's a Ju-87 for FS9, and it looks pretty good.

FS2004/FSX Junkers Ju 87B_Stuka. The
reputation of the Junkers Ju 87 Stuka (Sturzkampfflugzeug, or dive-bomber) was
made during the Polish campaign in close-support operations across Europe. The
Luftwaffe believed it to be virtually invincible, but this was true only after
air superiority had been gained, as demonstrated during the Battle of Britain
when the Stukas were mauled so severely by the RAF that they were later
withdrawn from operations over western Europe. Gmax model by A.F. Scrub.

Nose heavy
Need full trim up for take off and a lot of pull on the stick ....
Otherwise .. nice model

It's an older CFS2 model, FSDS2 converted to GMAX. I found out about the heavy nose too, but a little tuning of the flight model helped it out alot. Morton did the skins for the plane, and he really has it together in that department. Superb visual model, and the 2D panel looks authentic enough. The plane brought back memories of my CFS2 days with names such as "Wolfi", "Jean Robert", "ChrisN" and "Kelticheart" listed in the original read-me.

Indeed ..
Anyways .. I corrected by using another Stuka Airfile .. more easy to fly now :icon_lol:

Yep, it's Wolfie's CFS2 Ju-87B...which I use in FS9 in its original form. Looks like A.F. added a modeled on bomb...which is nice. Will download it and check it out.

Strangest thing... I saved a flight with this aircraft (which flew just fine before saving) and on reloading, it hung the sim.
It's now been taken, between thumb and forefinger, to the great Bin in the Sky.
Pity, as the repaints are great.

Why dont you try using the origional by wolfi avail able from the soh archives, its a good model and all mortons skins will work on it.

Get Erafitti's two repaint packs from the warbird's archive too, great liveries! Lawdog2360 should have a suitable soundpack in the archive.

Looks like all those livery packs are no longer available from SOH nor either Avsim and Flightsim. Shame as it is a real attractive bird.

BTW, shockwave bits are on the way but real life is rudely intruding today.

Racatron,

Actually, they are not lost at all!

The links in the archive for Morton and Erafitti were busted during the server crash a couple of years ago, so they were uploaded to the new library. They can be found in the CFS2 - Skins - German section.

Wolfi's original Ju-87 Stuka for CFS2 seems lost or unavailable at the moment. When I click on the DL link form the Warbirds Archive under his name "wolfi" I get a blank page. I'll try the other library sections as well. Funny tho, I've had no real issues with 'Scrubbie's' revamp of that plane, other than having to take some of the "lead" out of the nose. :isadizzy:

Edit: I got the download to work after a third go... I just wanted to see if there was much of a difference.

Blackbird,

The link in the archive is working for me: http://www.sim-outhouse.com/downloads/download.php?lloc=downloads&FileID=6345

Model update: http://www.sim-outhouse.com/downloads/download.php?lloc=downloads&FileID=6366

It ended up being a case of the download page hiding behind a blank page. At any rate... it worked.

Thanks, Rami

You are officially The Librarian forevermore.:monkies: They should write a song about ya. On wait, they did in The Music Man. On second thought, that was Madam Librarian. So one our elite crew must has a song writing bone in their body -- Let's "score one for the Gipper." Drat! My movie memories are clouding my conversation. Anyway, thanks so much Rami.

Only issue with the CFS2 addons is the missing bomb texture as that was a separate bit in that sim. THe updated version added the bomb texture to the fuse bmp.

Here are the Shockewave bits. The "tail light" is a small hiccup as it resides on the rudder meaning it should have been modelled, not a separate addon so as to track properly. Having said that the only time ya notice it is if you're are following the bird and activate the rudder at the same time. Also I haven't found the best startup effect as of yet, but MIlton's Grizzley is the best so far.

Why dont you try using the origional...
Because it's the bomb I'm after!
Maybe I should dig out CFS2 again, I have this yen to Drop Stuff.
Get Erafitti's two repaint packs from the warbird's archive too, great liveries! Lawdog2360 should have a suitable soundpack in the archive.
Great stuff, siren too...alas while a good idea, the siren (aliased to wind noise) picks up with speed.
Not quite right when vertical with speed brakes out, you find yourself closing them, throttle to the wall, and get sucked along by the crescendo!

Having a Stuka of the quality of, say, the WOP FW190 I got recently, has just moved up my wishlist.
What an aircraft!
And it must have the siren authentically modelled.

Meantime, one can play...

Oops double post...Here's the bit I left out:

dThere is a payware Ju87B included in the First Class Sims aptly named 'Stuka vs Hurricane'. Can't comment as I don't have it. I know the Hurri is a tin-opener and by the same guy who did the other Hurricane/hawker heroes pack (not the Tiffie, it's erm, well, I'll leave it there.) Not sure if the Stuka is by him though.

Jamie

PS. Can't imagine it being A2A standard though. And it might be a Ju87G with big guns actually, can't remember.

Looks like an FSX-only pack?
AH has a CFS3 Stuka at the same site.. do these port to FS9?
