Good evening,

I just wanted to give everyone a quick update on how things are going. I turned in my final paper this evening (a case study) and have a just a final exam to complete online between now and next Monday. My apologies during this semester if upload approval and other things have been a little spotty.

While working through the semester, I have continued work on the Battle of France when time allowed. I have all missions through May 20th done, (except for the Belgian / Dutch contingent) and finished up a lot of GSL work for it as well.

With the last several months (including mom's kidney transplant back in November) being a constant, draining slog, I'm exhausted, burnt out and frankly looking forward to several months off between early May and the end of August where I can just teach, spend time with my family, and work on my beloved hobby. I'm not planning on taking any summer courses. The kids (and my wife) need their dad and husband, and they've been very understanding these last several months.

Plus, I have a basketball team and a hockey team in the second round of the playoffs, so naturally, my attention is a little divided. (I'm in the eighteenth day of my playoff beard, something the wifey is not happy about. But I told her that some die-hards don't change underwear or socks)

You'll have to excuse the glum look...I've been battling a really bad cold since Saturday and felt like death warmed over in the picture.

So hang tight guys, I'll be back around a lot more regularly within a week or so.:encouragement:

Oh yeah...I turn the big 4-0 on May 9th. Can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to that. :p87:

Andrew,

Real life can be, well...interesting:untroubled:. Enjoy your time off when it comes and revel in being 40. A lot of us can just remember that birthday!

Heck Rami, I can't even remember being 40 either. Enjoy it, LOL :playful:

PS Exhausted or not, glad you are OK

Hang in the Rami,

Things can only get better...40 is not bad by the way..It is the 60 that really scares you..

Hey Rami,

Maybe May 9th you tell yourself: "OK, THIS day is the first day of the rest of my (SLOWER) life" hahaha.

For the 9th: many happy returns of the day!!! in good health and with all your beloved.

hertzie.

Hey guys,

The semester is officially over, I got an 84 on the final exam, which will barely nudge my grade. So I am done with classes until September. I appreciate the words of encouragement, I can really relax now!

Hey guys, 40 isn't too bad at all.
60 wasn't either.
I still feel like 40, whatever that is until I try to keep up with my basketball players.
(I coach both middle school and high school basketball).
I had to shame the players last fall to show them what the difference between running and sprinting was.....ONCE.
