why the Kreigsmarine ensign.

edit - that sounds rude, I am not being funny about the symbol or anything, just wondering why a naval flag on an airfield, hundreds of miles from water.

I'm not a flag-expert. Glad you pointed out that this is not the correct one! But I tried my skils on this one to see if I could get a wave in the flag. That worked. Can you point me to the correct one?

I have some books by Jürgen Zapf. This is one of the best documented and there is a lot of material on Google Earth on this one.......
