In theory you are correct.
In reality, there is no competition at all.
JustFlight will just release its Tornado first, and they will make most of the sales.
Dino will release it later, and it won't matter if it's good or not, most of the sales will be already gone.
Competition would be a nice thing if editors would all sell at the same time.
In our sim world, at least for MSFS, competition means just destruction.
The example of Dino is a good one:
- he wouldn't get much from his Tomcat, because most of the potential customers already bought the one from Deano.
- he wouldn't get much sales from his Eurofighter, because most of the potential customers already bought the one that is in the market.
- not sure if he would like to bring his G-91 from DCS to MSFS... maybe he won't because SSW already has a very nice one sold to the potential customers.
- etc...
Of course, in the case of the Eurofighter, the "other" model is said to be of terrible quality, so customers who bought it may eventually want to buy Dino's one as well when it appears.
But what if the "currently available" model is already quite nice ? Who will spend the money AGAIN for another model ?
I may be a little bit pessimistic here, but I feel like it would be much better for our developers if they wouldn't conflict, at least in this initial phase...
