Just Flight Warrior II

SOH-CM-2025
Hi All

Bought this one months ago but only just got around to flying it. Suffering immediate issues in that the thing drives wildly left off the runway - unable to correct with rudder. Rudder appears to be calibrated and is centred in the neutral position. Not seeing similar behaviour with other GA prop aircraft - Mooney/C172 etc.

Experimented with putting the aircraft on centreline at idle with parking brake set. As soon as I release the parking brake (with no power application) the aircraft nose starts to drift to the left. The nose wheel is not turning its just being dragged sideways.

There appears to be a lot of chat about this on the MSFS forums but with no definitive outcome. Wondered if anyone on here has this aircraft in their hanger that might shed some light on things?

Thanks

I have all the JF Pipers. The sliding left on take-off occurs for me with almost all aircraft in 2020. The more powerful, the worse the effect. Even a few jets!? I have not had this problem in 2024.

EDIT: I had not flown 2020 in a long time. Apparently one of the latest updates fixed the tire traction. I just flew all 5 of the JustFlight Pipers, as well as the Carenado ones, and had no problem with them maintaining directional control on the runway, take-off and landing. So, the above comment is incorrect. I also just purchased the PA38 Tomahawk, as it is $10 USD off for Holiday sale.

Strange, mine was solid. I tried the Caronado one first, then the JF one. Both seemed good. I did have to reduce the sensitivity on my rudder pedals a bit, but otherwise.

As I mentioned, I hadn't flown 2020 since 2024 came out. I tried shortly after 2024 release, but had a CTD during loading, and just went back to the new sim, as it was working fine, at the time. Yesterday was the first time I tried it, 2020, again, and it loaded fine, with some updates on loading. I was expecting to have the same problem as you, as that was how almost all my aircraft behaved, but all the ones I tried were solid and well behaved. They were all trike geared though, which did go before for me, but it would happen just as rotation would occur. I have not tried a tail dragger yet. They always left the runway just before the tail would come up, especially the warbirds. In 2024, all the planes I have tried, so far, have pretty much remained on the centerline.
