In the mail. And half of it is missing. No Track-clip, no CD. Just the monitor thingy. Good one, Amazon/Orichalk. Waiting for an answer to my e-mail, but if you want to know how pissed-off I am, use your imagination!

Not very hard to imagine!

(kidding mode on) /let me know if you need a wingman for a strafing mission.... \(kidding mode off)

Now, the CD istn't the problem, best to download the newest drivers anyway, but it's hard to replace the trackclip. I once had the idea to place some Reflectors on a headset, but never found the time to try it out.

Cheers

Panic over - marketing glitch. They got the wrong instructions in the wrong pack - it appears that the version I bought (the cheapest!) should not have the track clip. Instead it has the cap reflectors. But as it came with the instructions for the version with the clip, I didn't know what the reflectors were...

Anyway, it works. But I could have done without the cock-up...

What do you think of it Nigel, is it a must have? Most users seem to think so, I'm still to take the plunge.

A must-have, no. I think rudder pedals are more important, because the first thing you need to do is get the physical movements sorted out so you can actually fly properly - so a decent stick with separate throttle, and pedals. But the TrackIR certainly does add a lot - I've just tried the Blenheim MkI in MAW, with that beautiful cockpit, and the stock SE5a in First Eagles, and it really does change things. It also makes it easier to fly into the ground, because you tend to lose track of the attitude of your aircraft... But I am impressed!
