RobH, I made standalones of these and I must tell you how great a painter you are. The colors are perfect, the weathering is detailed but not excessive just as the real aircraft would have been this stage in the war. Really helps with immersion not having factory fresh planes doing battle. You and Bravo4 are IMHO the masters and it's great to see you back in CFS3.:ernae:
Sorry for the delay, been busy with work and Thanksgiving.
Thank you folks, glad you like them:d
ronnybengt, Shouldn't be a problem, would you by any chance have a larger picture?
Thank you phrog_phixer, that was exactly my thoughts too about the weathering. I sure hope I can stick around this time. My old computer just kept crashing and it got to the point where it just wasn't worth the hassle. Now my new one does a awesome job with CFS3. I can run all the sliders on 5!
Oki, sorry so late for the reply. The E-3 model does use the DR_Bf109E-4_2.LG02_t.dds. If you open the MOS file in a hex editor, you will see that it calls for the canopy texture DR_Bf109E-4_2.LG02_t.dds. I don't know why it has the DR_Bf109E-3_JG_26z_Cpy_t.dds in the texture folder.:isadizzy:
If you haven't already found out, just place the two texture folders you downloaded into the Hires folder and you should be just fine:d
I do however have a problem with my E-4 model. Mine is calling for the texture DR_Bf109E-4_2.LG02_t.dds as the main texture:isadizzy: This is of course the canopy frame, which makes for a interesting look, LOL.
Can someone please look at theirs and see if it does the same? I need to verify if mine is messed up, or if it was meant to be that way?
