Was going through the Freeware Gems thread...

Seen the KBT P-3 all over the place. Has anyone ever made a realistic FDE for it? Its a great visual model, but the FDE is out to lunch... Wish I knew how to do them, the model deserves better.
 
Quite right, the FD isnt great, took it up before and didnt take it out again because of that. Great model but FD wasn't. Would love to see an updated FD for it.

Did you try the KBT FDE update available on flightsim.com. It´s nothing new but i have noted it just recently. IMO it improves the package. Taxiing is still a challenge.

The challenging taxi handling comes from the fact that the MOI's are off the charts-heavy. It's more like trying to wrangle an overloaded C-5.

Try these in the weight & balance section:

empty_weight_roll_MOI=350635.000
empty_weight_pitch_MOI=1130610.000

Those entries are based on the formulas given in the Container SDK.
 
I tinkered with this a while back so you can try these as a group. Not perfect but closer to real I thought.
