Miccasharon, thanks and you haven't missed anything. The roads are faults in the default scenery. I could have eliminated them but I decided against redrawing that area because I thought they weren't that noticeable.

Manila Bay isn't finished R. Wills has been working on Corregidor, Fort Frank and Fort Wint. This entails Ground2K work. I will have another look at those roads when I get some other unfinished projects out of the way.

Kevin,
Oh, Corregidor is also coming! I can't wait!!!! Thank you in davance for beautiful sceneries.

Outstanding job, Kevin! I will be needing such scenery soon, but my Philippine/Manila missions take place in the last quarter of 1944. I suppose '41 will do just fine. (y)

Cheers: :wavey:
Greg

Thanks Greg - Cavite and Sangley Point were devastated, so a lot of the GSL objects could be removed for a later in the war version.

Cheers,
Kevin

KD, beautiful scenery! Manila has this shore line. I've tried it with default water masks on and off. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Stoney, thanks but it appears you have custom scenery for Manila activated and I don't know what it is. It's not stock water masking nor Rhumba's water masks, water files or coastal flattens.
I see the four wharves are actually built into the coastline.

Thanks for the scenery KD! I'm also having the same issue as Stoney, but for the life of me I dunno what other scenery I have active around Manila. I will say I also have a lot more city textures showing up for manila as well...

You also wouldn't happen to know what the beambrrl object is would you and what pack it is in, would you?

Stoney and Browncoat, I think you may have activated Sander de Cocq's world scenery posted on this forum last August. Unfortunately it's not compatible with MaskRider's Philippine airfields, a number of which will be flooded.

The only add-on terrain scenery which won't cause problems are Rhumba's mesh, coastal flattens and possibly his water files. His water masks are not compatible.

The bridge is in James Elwood’s rail bridges: http://www.sim-outhouse.org/freeflight/Rail_bridges.zip This link may not work here but it should when you Ctrl + Click on it in the Installation Guide.

I had a computer crash last year and lost my Ground2K files for Cavite. Fortunately I found the reference to the particular BGL file containing the stock Philippines water masks. Consequently fixing the extra coastline in the bay wasn't too difficult.
In reality that shore consists of swamps and mangroves. The default CFS2 coast in that area is a rough approximation.

Just add these two files to the Pacific Terrain scenery folder. I've updated the download.

@kdriver I appreciate the help with the bridge object! I have to suspect that what I am seeing with Manila has to be Rhumba's water masks, or global water. I don't have Sander's world scenery that was posted last year installed. I wonder if the more 'city' like Manila that I am seeing is a result of Rhumba's Regions.

I did some more scenery testing and yes, it's Rhumba's global water files causing the problem. They are accurate shorelines but unfortunately inundate much coastal scenery in all theatres of war.
