KDFW for P3DV5.4

KDFW - Dallas Ft Worth airport.

This is latest in trying to bring KDFW for P3D up to date with the many significant changes that have taken place over the past several years. The airport proper is based on the most current Google Earth with the EXCEPTION of the current rework (from concrete to asphalt) of RWY 17R/35L which is still in progress.

It is the largest hub for American Airlines, which is headquartered near the airport, and is the third-busiest airport in the world by aircraft movements and the second-busiest airport in the world by passenger traffic in 2022 and 2023, according to the Airports Council International.

Located roughly halfway between the major cities of Dallas and Fort Worth, DFW spills across portions of Dallas and Tarrant counties and includes portions of the cities of Grapevine, Irving, Euless, and Coppell. At 17,207 acres (26.89 sq mi; 69.63 km2), DFW is the second-largest airport by land area in the United States after Denver International Airport covering an area larger than Manhattan in New York City. It is also the largest carbon neutral airport in the world and the first in North America to achieve this status.

A really nicely done airport for P3D V5.4 - Plenty of detail and effects. If you don't have this one, I recommend this addition.

I'll post if it works in V4.5 too. It loads, but this is what the GSX jetways do. I am going to see if for myself I can convert it in ADEx to use it.

Unfortunately I don't know if it's my system or what. Your conversion opened up but none of the terminals are there in the sim. Then I searched and found the V4.5 version online by the same designer L. Lundquist and I was so excited. I downloaded IT and installed it in Prepar3D V4.5. Opened it up and NONE of the terminals are there either including many, many black boxes in ADEx. Sure glad it was freeware not payware. I've thrown away enough money on phooey payware this year. The only one who I say thank you is X-plane that let me purchase 11 so that I could REALLY check it out completely not just the 15 minute limited demo and gave me a refund when I chose not to use it. Good folks!.

When I read that a 4.5 version was available, I was expecting to read that everything went well; much to my surprise, I see you still had issues with it.
That is a shame. I had hoped that it would of worked for you and that you'd be experiencing all the eye candy this airport had to offer. Ah Boo, what a bummer. Did you install the contents of the effects folder? There were three folders to d/l and I grabbed 'em all.

I just examined the contents of the effect folder and looks like a bunch of light effects, so nothing there I could find that would affect your issues.

I saw that one Ed but wonder if it would work in P3DV5.4? Thanks for the info.
This seems to infer that it probably would:
The FSX version is compatible with FSX+SP2 minimum, or FSX+Acceleration Pack or FSX:Steam Edition, or Lockheed Martin Prepar3D ( the latest version of every supported major release, for example 3.4 in P3D4 or 4.4 in P3D4 ). Windows 8.1 is the minimum supported OS. This scenery fully supports DirectX 10.0. Prepar3d V5 and V6 are supported.
