KH,

Just thought I'd drop you a public message.

Today is our 33rd Wedding Anniversary. We really cannot "celebrate" it in the DC area for obvious reasons, so we find a little out of the way place to go and just enjoy ourselves privately.

Anyway, we found a little Italian/Greek restaurant with some excellent imported olives, olive oil, home made mozarella cheese and southern Italy cuisine. The wait staff was excellent, service outstanding, and food very tasteful. The chianti was nice.

If you or anyone else is ever in the DC area, PM me and I will send you the name and address of the restaurant. It is well worth the stop for lunch or dinner.

Happy Anniversary Devildog and Mrs. Devildog! 33 years...and she ain't tossed you out on your lopsided head yet?!?!?!

DD,

Congrats to you and the wife! That's simply outstanding. Military wives are a special breed of woman. They put up with us when we're home and they put up with us being gone. As John Wayne said in the Alamo movie of around 1965: "Three Cheers for the Ladies!"

My wife and I celebrated our 32nd anniversary in June. I got to come home on my mid-tour leave a couple of months early to attend my son's graduation and our anniversary celebration.

Thanks guys!

Jagd, you know this, but as a reminder, keep your eyes & ears open and your head on a swivel brother. Trust that well developed 6th sense, too. At your level of experience, you know that little voice that says something is different than it was before.

Your marriage and mine are thought to be things of the past, as are loyalties to anything lasting. I salute you and Mrs Jagd for your 32 years of hard work making it work.

Mr. and Mrs. Devildog,
A belated Happy Anniversary! :) Sounds like you had a nice evening despite the sombre occasion of 9/11. Mrs. TARPSBird and I will be celebrating our 37th in January. The lady is a saint for putting up with my sh*t for all this time. :icon_lol:
