Keyboard Remapping - Standard Set

Salute! Gimpyguy

I want to remap my keyboard commands to eliminate the many Three-Finger key presses that are part and parcel of our inherited CFS3 keyboard commands set. I have searched and found many Forum threads that refer to this issue. And I have found all your OFF "Tips and Cheats" articles on both OFF 3 and OFF 1&2 forums. But no where have I discovered a set of "recommended practices" for relocating the multiple key-press commands to the unused keys for the OFF game. Many folks mention that they have done the remappping in the QC interface. I have successfully completed a set of remappings of my own keys using you excellent instructions. But I worry that I have left something out, like dive brakes or bomb bay doors, on an a/c that I have not yet flown.

You hint that you use remappings in your game. Could you please publish your list? I would consider your remappings list to be a good standard to accept.

IMHO, we should standarize the keyboard remappings to using one-finger but no more than two-finger key presses so everyone plays OFF the same chart (pun intended.) Then we would only need to memorize one common keyboard commands set for OFF.

I intend on configuring my Saitek EVO FF joystick buttons using the latest version of STT utility after I settle on a keyboard command scheme that works for me. My arguement is if we all use a standard remapping for everyone to follow, we can exchange the DAT files (or what ever they are called) for each Joystick manufacture.
