KI-43 Oscar. FSX Native. Freeware

Thanks mate ..... been looking for one of these for a while. Used to have one in either FS2000 or 2002.

Sweet!! Going to make good use of this very nice model. Thanks for the heads-up!

For some added inspiration, a very close reproduction (accurate/authentic airframe, American engine) is operated by the Tillamook Air Museum (in very similar markings, I might add) - so its not like it's an extinct type from today's skies:

What a great find! It feels very light to fly, just as you 'd expect. The handling is very crisp, making it great for tight, precise low-speed displays. Sound defaults to the FSX Mooney but I find the CH FW190A sounds suit it very well. The VC may be a bit sparse for some but it's perfectly serviceable. Taken all round this is a delight.

A bit unrelated, but I thought I'd add that fortunately the POF Zero (seen in the video above) won't be the last Sakae-powered example we'll ever hear - there is an original A6M3 in advanced restoration currently at Everett, Washington, which will be flown, powered too by an original Sakae engine completed by Vintage V-12's (meaning POF will no longer be able to state that theirs is the only one). Photos of this particular restoration, in progress, can be viewed here: https://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Legend-Flyers/255443124472131?id=255443124472131&sk=photos_stream
