Ki 44-II SHOKI beta

wolfi

SOH-CM-2025
Ki 44-II SHOKI beta uploadet to sim-outhouse

this is still a beta test aircraft and not the final model, the final model will include one more Lod model and also a shadow model. Also the final model will have bullet holes, breaking parts, and damage textures.
the virtual cockpit instruments are not included yet
the panel doesn't fit the aircraft, also the air and dp file.
special features:
the gun sight rectangle can only be activated by the Concorde nose key's sometimes you have to push the key twice.
the older gun sight is activated by the arresting hook key.
the canopy doors are opened by the wing fold key.
I allow all modifications of the air and dp file to fit the aircraft, also textures can be made and
upload to sim-outhouse only.
the aircraft should not be upload to any other site then Sim-Outhouse.
the model name doesn't change anymore, so you can use the aircraft in mission builder.

I upload the aircraft a day later than expected, because I needed a new upload password, so sorry for the delay.

wolfi

I"am just glad you are working on it my friend. You have nothing to apologies for.

I cannot wait for its release!
Have a good day!:ernae:
Thank you!

Hello Wolfi,
First: I hope all is getting better for the little boy you are supporting!

Next: I think, it is a good idea to upload a beta in this status. There are quite some experts in different parts in this sim out there, who lick their fingers for something like that to bring their idea and talents in!

I noticed for some time now, that there is nearly no new plane uploaded without valuable feedback of the crowd within the first days/weeks.

I like that, because it raises the quality even higher. But I have a tear in my eye also, because it is very hard to follow that development, when someone gets interested in that plane/project half a year later.

I am very sure, your Shoki is fully dressed, armed and has a nicely set up *.air file within 7 days - you bet!

Hey, if it's good enough for Microsoft, it's good enough for you guys.
Makes sense to me.

Okey, first try. I have done two textures, a 2D panel and all the internal part textures. The VC and internal textures are ok for a combat sim i guess, but i'm sure someone can improve these. Also the damage textures i leave to others to make.

Once again 'fast-gun Morton' beat all others to the draw! Thank You :applause: ! Of course there ARE those damage textures, hmmm.

did anybody always try the gun sight? (Concorde nose key's) what do you think about it?
should it be always on. or did you like to activate it when used?
wolfi

The inversed polygons from the ailerons are a known problem, it will be solved with the final model. they aren’t inversed but they appear as inversed, it had something to do with the part and the part where they are assigned to.

Very nice (and ridiculously quick!)

Actually i got hold of the files a week ago. :p: And the cockpit i have fooled around with since Wolfi first announced a Ki-44 in work. So there's some late hours hidden here..

Hey Wolfi, ...

Sweet lookin' bird.

We've needed one for years, ...thanks buckets.

RE: gunsights

A fixed 3D cockpit gunsight (a-la CFS2 PF stockers/_OH) is all I need.

What the 2D boys (and girls) need, ...I couldn't tell ya.

Will try to give'er a pre-flight and flight-test this weekend.

Thanks again.

just to make clear what I mean, I speak about this gun sight recticle, its activated and deactivated by the Concorde nose key's.
wolfi

Recticle I think is the term! Great creation, glad to see the senior sim is aging so well and still drawing first rate tallent!

Cheers: T.
