Hi Klaus,I want to again tell you how much I appreciate your truly magnificent WWII ships. They were my inspiration to do a Ford Island Pearl Harbor scenery.I certainly don't want to seem ungrateful for your great gifts, but after a lengthy study of the US Warships at Pearl Harbor leading up to the December 7th attack, I realized that there are a few key omissions: 1/ A four stack destroyer (Wickes or Clemson Class). These ships still compromised a large number of the US destroyers prior to WWII, and eventually even consisted of 50 Royal Navy escorts. One of the most famous of these destroyers is the USS Ward, which sank a IJN miniature submarine while guarding the entrance to pearl Harbor. 2/ A couple of USN WWI submarines (Gato or Balao class and the Cachalot class (or equivalent class) 3/ A Destroyer or Submarine tender. The Dixie class destroyer tender had the same basic hull superstructure as the Fulton class submarine tender. A model of either would allow its' use as both a destroyer or submarine tender. Where possible, destroyers would anchor out alongside their tender. Submarines would do the same thing.If you still have the motivation to do a few more ships, these are my recommendations.Bill Mackay CDR, USN (Ret.)
 
Pearl Harbor WWII and Beyond

Not only could a diorama of Pearl Harbor be created but if you have Carrier Convoy Planner you can create Task Forces with them as well. AND with FSX @ War, combat could be initiated between fleets using the Battle of Coral Sea or Battle Of Midway Japanese ships that can be found yet. Food for thought for the future.
